She tortures him daily for ridiculous guy advice on how to snag her life-long crush. A guy Hunter thinks is totally wrong for Vere, and sadly, one who has taken note of Vere’s transformation.
When Vere asks her best friend for some kissing advice, Hunter can’t resist...

Vere is a sweet girl naive and very shy.She has a normal family and a Charlie her big brother protective and loving with her.I like the relationship between them they love each other and tease each other.
Vere is very shy and she can't talk with Curtis her love from childhood and for that she needs the help of the Hunter Kennedy aka Dustin because she can talk with him and can pass over her shyness with him.She spend time with Hunter because he needs her help to became a nerd and Hunter helped her with her shyness. But they become best friends and they has fun together. I love the relationship between them because they care for each other and they can be who they are when they are together.
Hunter aka Dustin is a sweet boy loving and king and he loves music and to be a pop star.He fell in love with Vere because she is a different girl and she is sincere with him and doesn't use him.He made true friends on Colorado Charlie and Jenna.He feel in love with the innocence of the Vere.He is having fun with Vere.Now Hunter wants to live to be with Vere and to enjoy life.

1) Please tell us something about you and about your book Unmaking Hunter Kennedy
Hi! Unmaking Hunter Kennedy is about a teen pop music star who finds himself very depressed and alone to the point where he's wrecked his car and attempted suicide. While he's taking a forced 'rest' he finds out who he really is and falls in love with a girl from a small town.
Hunter is being forced by his mom to leave his band and live in a small town in Colorado with his aunt. To make it work, his manager asks him to be in disguise until the press blows over. They do not want anyone knowing he is in Colorado. The girl next door, Vere Roth, and her brother, Charlie, are brought in to help him come up with a disguise. They decide to make him a geek. But once he's made over, he discovers he likes being 'invisible'. He also slowly discovers he's in love with Vere.
Hunter does nothing about his feelings for Vere because he knows she's too sweet for him and will be going back to work soon. Also, Vere has a crush on another guy and thinks Hunter is just her best guy friend. Vere tortures Hunter for 'guy' advice, and he helps her come out of her shyness and sadly, the other guy takes notice and asks Vere out on a date. But when Vere asks her best friend Hunter for kissing advice, things get way out of control...
This book was an idea I had while watching MTV/and other entertainment news-shows. I, like everyone else, love watching the lives of the stars unfold. Now with social media, there is even more exposure to the teen stars on TV--actors and musicians. Sometimes, as they get older, their lives fall apart, or they commit suicide because of depression, use of too many drugs/alcohol or end up with a terrible life as they get older. And all of this happens while the whole world watches and makes comments. There are so many TV show's where they take a normal teen/singer/home cook/ and they transform them into a star. With Hunter Kennedy, I wondered if a child actor/singer could ever be UNMADE. Get out of the spotlight, and start over with a different life? You will have to read the book to find out, but I'm sure with social media so strong you all already know the answer to that is 'no'. But that doesn't mean a famous rock star can't meet and fall in love with the girl next door. It's everyone's dream, isn't it? My daughter (15) wishes every day Harry Styles from One Direction would move into the house next door and fall in love with her right now! :)
2) When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? I wanted to be a writer my whole life, but my parents were not fans of the idea. They thought it was simply a hobby and that I would go out and get a 'BETTER' job to make money. I wrote and wrote as a child, but eventually gave up trying. I followed their advice and worked many other jobs before finding the courage to be a writer and take a chance.
3)What are you hoping to achieve with your novels? 7)Please tell us something about your book Almost>
(eeks I put these both in the same answer…sorry)
First, I love to make people fall in love. I like to inspire butterflies flying around heads and hearts. Romance. Falling in love. Those are my favorite things. But, I like to write stories about characters who are hurt, or wounded (inside or out) or who had something happen to them in the past where they think they are now broken, and possibly not able to love or be loved. Because we, as people are all like that. We all have something sad, or dark or an event in our lives that hurt us somehow. Changed us somehow.. I love to take those characters and find their soul mates. I love to write couples that are destined to be together even though on the surface they might be worlds apart.
My first book, Almost, is about a girl who was 'ALMOST' raped while in the first year of high school. Although it is not a true story about me (as many think) my best friend was actually raped when we were both in high school by the brother of a friend. It was terrible and sad and always haunted us as we grew older. I never forgot how she and I never told anyone--never reported it. My friend, of course, will carry what happened to her forever. :( With Almost, I did want to write a book about a girl who was hurt, and who never got over the pain of that hurt. This is the truth of any violence against women. You don't ever get over the pain and you can wait your whole life to forget. But women and girls are so strong. So many learn how to walk on. Live lives (as my friend did) and fall in love again. Trust someone again with your heart and your soul… I wanted a character who would live her life even though there might always be a small shadow on her heart because of the events of the past. Women survivors show us every day we decide, inside of us, how far we can fly and how beautifully we can trust love in the future. The violence was not a choice, not fair, random, and terrible… but how we transform after, and how we carry the pain can be an area of strength, not weakness. I wanted to inspire anyone who was hurt and still in a very sad, dark place, to see there is some hope but that hope, and that strength is inside of us.
In Unmaking Hunter Kennedy, it is a similar topic of a teen going through a recovery. This time recovering from depression. Hunter while depressed, hurts himself, hurts his mom by shutting her out and finds himself in a very alone place when he gets to Colorado. When the book opens he does not like what he did and he feels bad/guilty about it. He wonders if he deserves even to be liked by his new friend Vere, and it takes him time to believe he might have a shot with her. Vere, with her simple acceptance of him--with her ability to be herself--shows him how to live differently. She helps Hunter realize he's okay, just how he is and with all of his scars and she gives him the courage to hope for love.
4)Which is your favorite book and favorite author?
There are too many to list. I've never been able to 'get over' thinking about the characters in Graceling by Kristin Cashore's fantasy. I also adore the character of 'death' from The Book Thief'. But at my core, I'm a romance reader. I love all the romance writers out there and so I can't list just one. So…favorite book: ROMANCE Favorite Author: ALL xo
5) Outside of writing what you do for fun?
I read. I stare at my Kindle and hug it? It's sad, but all my personal fun is centered around books. I LOVE going to old bookshops and find really old romance novels from the 1800-1900's. I love to teach writing to teens at local programs and have done some of that. Movies are awesome, but I'm bored if there is no romance and (of course) if the movie was made from a book, I'm doubly happy! Otherwise, I just enjoy hanging with my family, doing whatever the kids want to do is 'fun' for me these days also.
6)Where do you get the motivation to keep writing and doing what you love?
It's easy to be motivated to write, but the hard part is actually finishing a book all the way to the end. I am always starting a new story in favor of finishing one of the others. It's quite difficult to stay motivated especially when you are a mom and you work from home. There is always a child, or a dirty car, dishes, laundry pile or the school calling for help, or an email, a phone call, or a neighbor or some such thing looking at you and needing your help that tries to pull me away from writing. I actually have to drive away and hide at coffee shops so I do not see my messy house, otherwise I can't get enough writing done. When I am home and all of these things are around me, I feel distracted and can't focus.
I highly recommend the biggest, ear-covering headphones you can find.
8)Do you need some background when you write?
I do need music. (with headphones) I can only listen to songs with no lyrics (usually classical) when I write because songwriters are the BEST writers in the world. I get caught up in their words and just listen and dream. As for characters and backgrounds, I do extensive character profiles and work before I start writing, and even then, a lot of the first pages that I write are thrown away as I figure out the 'voice' of who is speaking. I think this is why I am such a slow writer. I can't write the story until I've got the voice figured out of each character.
9)What's next for you?--
I'm looking forward to 2013 because my awesome agents have sold my book, Almost to be in print and translated and will be in Turkey and in Germany! Because I started out as an 'indie' published author, I can't believe this has happened to me! It is a huge dream come true (as is just having an agent--another dream!). I"m also working on another young adult (a romance, no surprise there)…but that is all I can say. I'm pretty shy about talking about them until it's a whole book and I'm satisfied with it, because what if, half way through, I just throw it away and start over?

What to say to my readers besides thank you? This past year has been like a dream for me to finally get to have my stories live and in the world for people to find. I worked so long (7 years) to make it happen. So when readers started contacting me and saying they liked my stories, it was beyond anything I could have imagined. I'm so grateful that readers world-wide love romance. Love books. Love reading and romance. I'm also want them to know writers…we are just like them. Readers also and people who do work hard and try. Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail but I hope I don't disappoint readers with my next one. This is where the pressure is for me…so many people loved Almost and Unmaking Hunter Kennedy, I feel like I have to work extra hard on the next book to make them happy because they've made me so happy? Does that make any sense?
