ARC review Addicted for now by Krista Ritchie and Becca Ritchie

He's addicted to booze. She's addicted to sex...staying sober is only half the battle.

No. More. Sex.

Those are the three words Lily Calloway fears the most. But Loren Hale is determined to be with Lily without enabling her dangerous compulsions. With their new living situation—sleeping in the same bed, for real, together—Lily has new battles. Like not jumping Lo’s bones every night. Not being consumed by sex and his body.

Loren plans to stay sober, to right all of his wrongs. So when someone threatens to expose Lily’s secret to her family and the public, he promises that he’ll do anything to protect her. But with old enemies surfacing, Lo has more at stake than his sobriety.

They will torment Lily until Lo breaks.

And his worst fear isn’t relapsing. He hears the end. He sees it. The one thing that could change everything. Just three words.

No. More. Us.

Review

ARC provided by the authors for an honest review.Thank you
I really loved this book and this series. I love all the characters. It's one of my favorite series from this year.
In this book Loren is back from rehab and he have to help Lily with her addiction and for him is very hard to say no to Lily but he had to do it for her and for their relationship and for their love. She struggled with her addiction and she go to the therapy and she made progress.
Their relationship is dysfunctional but they love each other for years and they fight with their addictions for their love and for their relationship.I think that they are strong because they are afrid to lose thair relationship. For Lo for yers the most thing was alcohol and now that he is sober Lily is everything for him. I think that their relationship is so strong because they understand each other and they helped each other for years.
It's was hard for them when the presa found out that Lily is a sex addict because the people was cruel with her and with Lo
I really love Daisy, Ryke, Connor and Rose because they supported them and they are true friends for them.
In this book Lo and Lily learned to be real couple without their addictions and learned to ask for help. When I read the book I felt their love.

The raven by Sylvain Reynanrd

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Gabriel Series comes a dark, sensual tale of romance in a city shrouded in mystery…

Raven Wood spends her days at Florence’s Uffizi Gallery restoring fine works of Renaissance art. But an innocent walk home after an evening with friends changes her life forever. When she intervenes in the senseless beating of a homeless man, his attackers turn on her, dragging her into an alley. Raven is only semi-conscious when their assault is interrupted by a cacophony of growls followed by her attacker’s screams. Mercifully, she blacks out, but not before catching a glimpse of a shadowy figure who whispers to her …

Cassita vulneratus.

When Raven awakes, she is inexplicably changed. She returns to the Uffizi, but no one recognizes her and more disturbingly, she discovers that she’s been absent an entire week. With no recollection of the events leading up to her disappearance, Raven also learns that her absence coincides with one of the largest robberies in Uffizi history – the theft of a set of priceless Botticelli illustrations. When the baffled police force identifies her as its prime suspect, Raven is desperate to clear her name. She seeks out one of Florence’s wealthiest and elusive men in an attempt to uncover the truth about her disappearance. Their encounter leads Raven to a dark underworld whose inhabitants kill to keep their secrets

Goodreads

Welcome to my blog Krista & Becca Ritchie !!!!
Interview

1) Please tell us something about you.
Becca: I write smexy, emotional books with a girl who looks exactly (I mean exactly) like me. I’m not duplicating myself like a weirdo. There are actually two of us (I promise), and I’m more apt to make you cry within the pages. She’ll make you laugh.
Krista: I agree, I prefer to write the funny stuff but it doesn’t mean I don’t like to write the sexy scenes from time to time ;)

2) Please tell us something about your series Addicted
Becca: The Addicted series is about a girl who’s a sex addict and her best friend, who’s an alcoholic. As childhood friends, they’ve formed a co-dependent relationship that is tested throughout the series.
Krista: And then other people begin to infiltrate their two-person group and general drama ensues. It’s a book about addiction and trying to find love against the greatest odds.

3)Why did you decided to write together this series?
Becca: Writing is so much more fun with another person. We’ve both written books before, alone, and we really wanted to work together on a project. So we chose the Addicted series.
Krista: It’s much more fun collaborating than it is working alone. And we also started this book while we were in college, so neither of us would probably have had time to do it without one another.
3) Why did you decided to write about addiction?
Becca: Female sex addiction really isn’t talked about at all, and Krista and I were willing to take the challenge to bring the issue to light in an honest way.
Krista: Exactly! And we knew we had to ground it in reality for people to understand that it’s a real issue, so we had to juxtapose it with a common addiction like alcoholism.

4) Tell us five random facts about you?

Becca: I broke a ski lift my first time snowboarding. I love comic books. I hate cream cheese. My first (unromantic) kiss was on New Year’s Eve. And my spirit animal is a turtpire (a turtle vampire).
Krista: I have biology degree. I used to do research on mice. I can’t whistle. I am literally addicted to Diet Coke. And I won a high school state championship for tennis.

5) Which is your favorite book and favorite author?
Becca: Oh my gosh, choosing just one is tough. We read mostly YA (since we review YA books), and I’m still in love with The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae Miller. It’s so adorable and geeky.
Krista: That’s a hard one. There are so many books and authors that I love. I’d have to say my favorite author (because her book started my love of reading and because I saw her recently at a book fest – and she’s awesome!) would be Libba Bray. My favorite book would be Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.
6) In the Addicted series what was your favorite scene to write and why?
Becca: In the sequel, Addicted for Now, Lo has a conversation about his father with Ryke near the end. Ryke is a character that appears late into the first book. They’re in their car, and it’s honest and raw and something that I feel like kept building and building to that point.
Krista: In the entire series…hmmm…I think my favorite scene would be from Addicted for Now. The entire cast is in Cancun and they’re at a club. It was fun because you see a different side of all the characters. General mayhem goes down.
8)Can you give us a little sneak peak from the next book Thrive or something about Connor and Rose?
Becca: We have to stay quiet about Thrive until Addicted for Now is released. But Kiss the Sky is the next book being released (January 2014), and it’s a lot lighter than the Addicted series. It has the same humor, but it’s amplified. And all of the characters will be participating in a reality show within the book. Think Friends meets The Real World.
Krista: Krista: Yep, Thrive is still kind of secret. It’s going to be a crazy book. But I can give you a sneak peak of Kiss the Sky. All six characters will be filmed for a reality show, and there may be a psychic coming in to stir some things up.

9)What are you working now?
Becca: We’re finishing up the Addicted series. And we’re working on a few other books that we hope will see the light of day. All of them are New Adult.
Krista: What she said ;)

10) Please leave message for your readers.
Becca: Thank you all for reading and for taking a chance on Lily and Lo—who may the most dysfunctional couple ever.
Krista: *waves* Thanks so much for reading our series! We couldn’t continue on without your support. It means the world to us <3 <3 <3 Thanks for having us on your blog! Thank you for your interview and for stopping today on my blog!!!! AUTHOR BIOS

Excerpt Gabriel's Redemption by Sylvain Reynard

"I think if we sat here long enough, the whole world would walk by." Julia's voice was wistful as she rested her head on Gabriel's shoulder
It was their last night in Florence. They'd spent the evening dining at a romantic restaurant overlooking the Arno River. Then they'd wandered the narrow streets before arriving at the Loggia dei Lanzi. From this vantage point, they could watch the Piazza della Signoria come to life after dark.
Tourists and locals milled about the Piazza or enjoyed a drink at one of the cafés. Nearby, a string quartet played Verdi, filling the square with a beautiful melancholy.
Julia watched in fascination as street vendors launched glowing cylinders into the air, the toys sparkling like firecrackers against the ink black sky. But always, the objects would fall to the ground, their brief foray into the heavens ended by gravity.
A strange sadness crept over her. "We try to touch the stars, but we always fall back to earth."
Gabriel drew her closer, wrapping his arm around her waist. "That's true, but it isn't like you to despair.
"I'm not in despair. I just don't want to go back. Not after —" Her voice trailed off.
"I don't want to go back either, but summer has to end eventually."
He brushed a light kiss against her dark hair before pulling her to her feet. As the music continued, he walked her to the center of the Piazza. Then he took her in his arms and began to sway to the music.
She closed her eyes, floating over the stone beneath their feet as he expertly moved them.
He tightened his grip on her waist. "I'm sorry we've been fighting.
Julia opened her eyes. "Me too."
"I promise I'll make it up to you."
"You brought me here."
"I'm the reason you're constantly falling back to earth." Gabriel's blue eyes were earnest and searching. "I drag you from the stars — from where you belong."
She gave him a sad smile. "It's the human condition. We're bound to fall.
He stopped dancing, his eyes boring into hers. "You should never have to fall, Julianne."
He kissed her gently and they continued dancing, stopping only when the last strains of Verdi no longer echoed through the night.
They returned to the Loggia, sitting side by side on the stone bench. His fingers traced the folds of her silk dress in what he hoped would be a comforting manner.
"I wish I could sit in this piazza forever." She gazed at the elaborate fountain nearby, and the elderly couple who were standing next to it, holding hands. "We could grow old here."
Gabriel followed her gaze, the edges of his lips turning up.
"If you remained in this piazza, you'd be cold when winter comes."
"Not if I had you to warm me."
A smile pulled at his mouth. "I'm glad you find me useful, if only as a warming device
"You're also an excellent tour guide."
"Another way in which I'm useful."
"And since your Italian is better than mine, you're an effective translator."
He brought his mouth to within inches of hers. "Shall I translate my favorite words? Labbra? Lingua? Seno?"
She traced the fullness of his lower lip with her middle finger. "Lips. Tongue. Breast. You're very provocative this evening."
"You've forgotten the most important way in which I'm useful.
"And that is?"
His gaze grew heated and he lowered his voice. "As your lover."
He nipped at her finger slightly, before drawing it into his mouth. He toyed with her for a moment, laving her skin with his tongue, before releasing her.
"I'm afraid that if you persist in staying in this piazza, my capacity as a lover will be sorely diminished.
She lifted her eyebrows. "Diminished?"
"For example, I couldn't possibly do this in a piazza." He brought their lips together
Julia hummed her appreciation and Gabriel deepened their connection, his tongue stroking hers.
His hands moved to her face as Julia's slid to his shoulders, pressing him closer.
"And I couldn't possibly do this." Gabriel spoke against her mouth as his thumb glided down the side of her breast
She shivered.
"Or this." His hand slid over the curve of her waist and around to her lower back. He ran a single finger just above the waistband of her panties, almost as if he were contemplating their removal.
"Or this." His eyes suddenly alight, he covered her bare knee with his palm before coaxing her legs to part.
Julia's skin grew warm at his touch.
"Move your hand any higher and we're going to get arrested," she whispered.
His eyes appeared to darken. "It will be worth it."
She placed her hand over his, stopping the slow, teasing ascent.
"I think we've been the subject of enough scandals, Professor."
"Then you're going to have to leave this piazza before I slip my hand under your dress and show you what comes next."
"Where would we go?"
"I know a much quieter piazza nearby."
She stifled a laugh. "Is that the best you can do?"
"There's always the hotel. I have a view."
She cocked her head to one side. "A view?
He lifted her hand and pressed a kiss to her palm.
"The only sight worth seeing in this city is you. But the view from my hotel room isn't entirely unfortunate."
She lowered her eyes and blushed.
He squeezed her hand. "Florence has exceptional architecture and art. But Brunelleschi's dome lacks your compassion. And no painting in the Uffizi could ever capture the beauty and warmth of your love."
She lifted her gaze to meet his.
"Are you flirting with me, Professor?"
Gabriel brought his mouth to her ear. "This isn't flirtation, Julianne. This is seduction. And I won't rest until I enjoy the wonder that is your body, lying underneath me again.
He kissed the shell of her ear, before moving down to the side of her neck. He pressed unhurried kisses against her skin, brushing against her collarbone.
"This is just the beginning," he whispered, his hand caressing her side. "Think of the delights that await you.
She hummed softly. "I'd like to hear more about that.
He stood, holding out his hand.
"I'll do more than tell you. But I'm afraid you'll have to leave this piazza."
Julia glanced over his shoulder at the fountain. She sighed.
"It's hard for me to leave, knowing what awaits us at home."
"But we'll be together." He tugged her into his arms. "Tonight I'll help you touch the stars. And when you fall back to earth, I promise to catch you."
She looked up him, at his tender, intense expression, and lightly cupped his angular jaw.
"What about you, Gabriel? Don't you want to touch the stars?
He smiled his slow, sweet smile.
"You're the only star in my sky."
She kissed him fiercely, before taking his hand and walking hurriedly toward their hotel.

The Thrill of It Blitz

The Thrill of It by Lauren Blakely (No Regrets #1)
Publication date: November 21st 2013
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

A new adult story of Love. Sex. Addiction. Blackmail. And Power…
Some say love can be an addiction. Others say it’s the thing that makes life worth living. Let me tell you everything I know about love…Love isn’t patient, love isn’t kind. Love is a game, a chase. A thrill. Love is wild and war-like, and every man and woman must fight for themselves. At least that’s how it was for me. A high-priced virgin call girl by the time I started college, I was addicted to love and to sex. Even though I’ve never had either. I controlled love, played it, and held the world in the palm of my hands. Then I fell down from those highs, and I’m being blackmailed for all my mistakes, forced to keep secrets from everyone, except the only guy I don’t regret.

Trey…

With all the other women, I knew what they were. They were temporary. They were pills, they were bottles, they took away all the pain, and numbed the awful memories that wore down my ragged, wasted heart. Until I met Harley. She’s the only girl I ever missed when she walked away. But now she’s back in my life, every day, and there are no guarantees for us, especially since I don’t know how to tell her my secrets. What happened to my family. All I know is she’s the closest I’ve ever come to something real, and I want to feel every second of it.

How can you love with no regrets when regret is all you know?

A few minutes later a cab pulls up, and she pays the driver, then escapes. I squeeze my eyes shut when I see what she’s wearing. Then I open them.
“Hi.” She offers a meek little wave as she sinks down next to me. I close the sketchbook.
The cab races off, kicking up exhaust into the night breeze, mingling with all the other scents nearby. This is New York for you – I can smell Harley’s wild cherry lotion and I can smell garbage that needs to be picked up tomorrow, the fume from cabs, and the trailing scent of cigarettes. The ugly with the beautiful.
“You look guilty,” I say. “But you don’t have to look guilty on my behalf.”
“I feel guilty.”
“Why? Are you going back to him?” I ask in a strangled voice. The thought makes me sick.
She shrugs. “He made me an offer.”
I recoil, then stand up quickly as if I can’t even be near her when she’s like this. When she’s in this zone. “Are you going to take it?” I ask with a sneer. I don’t mask my disgust. I can’t mask my disgust.
“I don’t know,” she says, and her voice breaks, and I fucking hate that she can be like this.
Tempted.
I push both hands through my hair, grabbing hard. “You’re not a fucking whore, Harley.”
“It’s not like that,” she spits back.
“Fuck that,” I shout through clenched teeth. I pace down the block, walking away from her, far away. To the end of the block, where I stop and slam a hand against the street sign. I take a sharp, deep breath, then turn around. She’s still on the stoop, and she’s fiddling with her shirt, shakily fastening the top two buttons.
When I reach her I bend down and grip her knees. I stare hard at her, her brown eyes like pools. One lone tear streaks down her face. “You are better than that,” I tell her, never breaking her gaze. “You are so much better than that.”
“But what if I’m not?” She chokes out in the tiniest voice.
I wipe the pad of my thumb across her cheek. I want to kiss her tears away, but I can’t go there right now. For a million reasons.
“You are,” I say firmly. I want to shake her. I want to smack some sense into her. “How can you even say you’re not?”
She drops her head so I can’t look at her. “Because I’m not. Because I went to see him. Because you’d never do this. You’re stronger than me. You’re never even tempted.”
“You think this is easy for me?” I crouch on the sidewalk, my hands still gripping her knees. I glance down at her socks, then shake my head. “I hate these socks,” I mumble, as I peel the right one down her leg. She lets me, lifting her calf for me. My fingertips brush her skin, but I manage to resist running my hands up and down those calves. The mission to get her out of this awful costume is stronger than my desire to touch her. I unbuckle one shoe and take off her sock. I do the same to the other leg, rolling down the white knee-high, undoing the shoes, and tugging the sock off her foot, ignoring how smooth her perfectly shaven legs are. I hand her the offending items, and she stuffs the white socks into her purse. Out of sight. Somewhat out of mind. “I can’t stand seeing you dressed like this. I wish you were wearing a t-shirt and jeans right now.”
I earn a small laugh for that, and she lifts her head, flashing a quick lopsided smile. The Harley smirk that makes me want to wipe it away with my mouth. Kiss that sexy smirk right off of her. Hear the sweet sighs she makes when I kiss her.

Excerpt
Knowing You (Jade #2) - Excerpt 2
“I don’t know what I was thinking letting you plan our date," Garret says. "You probably would’ve picked that taco stand for dinner if I let you.”
“Nah. Probably the burger joint by the dry cleaners.”
“That place is just as disgusting. Well, that confirms it. I’ll be planning the dates from here on out.”
“I still haven’t agreed to go out with you again.”
He nudges my foot under the table and smiles. “You will.”
Our food arrives. Just as we start to eat, a mariachi band stops by our table singing some type of love song. It makes me laugh, not just because of the song but because they’re not very good. The main singer is way off key. I try to hide my laughter because the guy is really trying hard.
Garret sees me struggling. He sets his fork down, then reaches over and holds the hand I’m not eating with and gazes into my eyes. The mariachi guys notice and assume their music has caused Garret’s romantic gesture. The bad singer nods at Garret and gets a huge grin on his face, singing even louder.
I’m practically in tears trying to keep from laughing. I give Garret a look to cut it out, but he’s enjoying this way too much. He picks my hand up and kisses it.
Finally, the song ends. Garret takes some money from his wallet and gives it the guy.
“Muchas gracias,” the singer says. He points to me. “Beautiful girl. You two are a lovely couple.”
“We are, aren’t we?” Garret says, smiling at me, then back at the singer.
“You two get married some day. I sing at your wedding.” He reaches in his pocket and pulls out a business card.
“Thank you.” Garret takes the card, then looks at me. “Jade, he could sing at our wedding. Wouldn’t that be great?”
I kick his foot under the table. “Um, yeah. Great.” I turn to the singer. “Thanks again. It was very nice music.”
The guy nods and moves on to another table. Garret releases my hand and goes back to eating like the whole scene didn’t even happen.
“Did you have to do that?” I ask him. “You knew I was dying over here. They would’ve left if you hadn’t started that hand holding crap.”
He shrugs. “I didn’t want them to leave. I was enjoying it.”
“They were horrible! That guy was way off key.” I take a bite of my taco.
“He did better than I would do. I didn’t think he was that bad. And you must’ve liked him at least a little. You agreed to let him sing at our wedding.”
I almost choke when he says it. I take a big gulp of my soda. He continues to eat as if his wedding comment is perfectly normal and expected. “We’re on a first date here, Garret. I think it’s a little early to plan a wedding.”
“I guess. Then maybe he could sing at our graduation party.”
“Four years from now, I don’t think he’ll still be employed as a singer.”
I hear the guy belting out a new song at a table on the other side of the restaurant. He’s so horrible. Now that they’re gone, I’m finally able to laugh.
Garret shakes his head, but he’s laughing, too. “You’re so mean. At least he’s trying.”
“I’m sorry. I can’t help it. He’s just so bad.”
For the rest of dinner, I keep thinking about Garret’s wedding comment. He couldn’t possibly be even the tiniest bit serious. We’ve only known each other a few months and we technically weren’t even dating during those months.
He was probably just making a joke. But still, hearing Garret even mention the idea of marrying me makes those annoying butterflies that have now taken up permanent residence in my stomach flutter with happiness. Which only makes me wonder what this boy is doing to me.
I’m Jade, the sarcastic, independent, smart ass who has no interest in marriage or weddings or rings or any of that stuff.
And yet my stupid heart skips a stupid beat when that stupid boy tosses out the idea that someday he might marry me.

Cover reveal The Souls of Rain by Diana Nixon

The Souls of Rain
Prologue
Three angels were standing in the middle of a round, crystal room. Their long, silver cloaks were swaying slowly in the wind; the rustle of their wings was the only sound breaking the intense silence. One of them, a woman with curly, strawberry-blond hair that went to her feet, raised her hand and a huge, white cloud formed in front of her.
“The girl deserves to know the truth,” she said to the others.
“This is insane,” a male angel replied, shaking his head. He ran one palm through his messy, sandy hair; his big, blue eyes seemed to be brighter than the sky itself. “What if something goes wrong?” He stared nervously at the picture appearing inside the cloud.
“We are losing control over her.”
“She’s right,” the other male angel said. “It’s not safe to keep her here.” His golden eyes shifted impatiently between his companions. “We need to send her back to the earth.”
“You will follow her,” the woman said, looking at the blue-eyed angel. He was the youngest of the three of them, and his age was the only thing that stopped him from breaking the order. He didn’t want to spy on anyone. He used to be one of the best guardian angels, until one day he made a huge mistake and was obliged to follow the orders of the top-ranked angels. It was the worst part of his punishment; he hated being told what to do.
“You didn’t have to say that,” he snapped, meeting the woman’s emotionless eyes. Sometimes it was really hard to believe that she was an angel, and not a demon wearing snow-white wings. “You know I would have never left her unprotected.”
“Right.” The other angel smirked.
“Albert,” the woman hissed, warningly. Her voice sounded calm, but the intonation said it all — she didn’t approve fights between her subordinates. “This meeting is over. I’ll see you two later.” And just like that, she disappeared, making the air in the room crackle. Albert grimaced at the force of energy left after her disappearance. He wasn’t as strong as she was, and the powers she possessed always made him uneasy. He looked one last time at the blue-eyed angel, and followed the woman.

Left alone, the angel stared at the picture of the girl he was supposed to spy on. The girl was a guardian angel. She was slim and beautiful; with long, black hair and big green eyes, shadowed by the curling lashes.
She was walking down the alley surrounded by the age-old oaks, watching her fosterling. She seemed to be relaxed, but in reality her every instinct was on alert. Her wings were outspread, and though no human could see her like that, the creatures of the heavens always knew when she was on duty.
“I won’t let you down, Claire,” the angel swore in a whisper, making the cloud in front of him turn black. “Never again….”

The secrets of the heavens had always been carefully guarded. Until one day when the angels realized that what they used to believe in was nothing but a cruel game between heaven and hell.
And Claire’s life is a part of that game too….
She is a guardian angel. She always thought that her existence was perfect. But perfection is a very relative term, and no one is protected from making mistakes.
Everything changes the moment Claire gets a new assignment. Guarding humans has never been easy, and this time won’t be an exception.
Alan Rosenford is a spoilt party-boy, whose life is a hurricane of risk and adrenaline rush. His soul is damaged, his heart is bleeding, and there are so many things he prefers to keep private….
The words they have never said before ….
The sins they have never committed….
How much does forgiveness of the heavens cost?
Or maybe even the heavens make mistakes?...

***

Trailing my fingers over the lines of your face,
Kissing your lips and melting in your embrace,
Enjoying the warmth and drinking in the moment,
Leading multiple lives feels like a pure torment.

Falling even deeper in love with you,
Discovering all the things I never knew,
Evolving into someone better and someone new,
I’ll stay for one more day, or maybe for a few,
To build up my strength to live centuries without you.

I’ll follow you to the deserts and across the oceans,
Desperate for changes and overwhelming emotions;
I’ll stay with you on the earth, or follow you to the sky,
Only with you can I breathe and feel myself alive.

Holding hands, we walk between the silver raindrops,
With the snow-white doves flying around us;
Leaving for the memories we shared, lives ago,
Can we put them back together? No one knows.

Look around and tell me what you see,
There’s no one else in sight, but you and me,
Chasing away the darkness and stormy clouds,
Just the way it was always meant to be.

Living like there’s nothing left to lose,
No one to forgive, no one to accuse.
When the bridges of hope come crashing down,
In the bewitching sounds of love we drown,
As we kiss away each other’s worst fears,
Banishing regrets, pains and bitter tears.

Take a breath and wait for the long tomorrow,
If I disappear in the shadows, find me and follow,
Rescue me in the midst of my endless night,
Turn the pale moon into bright daylight,
Make this heart of mine miss a beat,
Only with you is my soul complete.

Epilogue
